Sneaky Protests Templates
The majority of our sneaky protests are efforts that require printing out a small card (though you can use regular paper). You then just go about your day, dropping these casually as you enter public areas. Other items on the list just require an email, phone call, survey, etc.
Do what you are comfortable doing!
1. Select a sneaky protest.
2. Print the template.
3. Cut out the messages if applicable-stock paper works best or you can create stickers (be careful NOT to stick any protests on private property).
4. Take them with you around town and sneakily leave them in different places if applicable, or send the postcard, or submit the survey, email, etc.
Who We ARE
We are a group of Upstate, SC friends who found through various advocacy groups that there are a lot of folks in the Upstate who do not agree with what's happening in Trump's America, but are too afraid to speak up for fear of losing their clients, family, friends, etc. This is a common theme in most red states. We get it! We can't go losing our livelihoods. However, we ALL have to be proactive in stopping this administration's harmful acts against our country, or soon, we won't have a country, at least not a truly free one!It is imperative that we push the truth out in our community because there are so many who are simply not paying attention. We speak with people every day who have no idea who people such as Stephen Miller, Kristi Noem, Greg Bovino, etc. are, much less that they are "pulling the puppet strings" of the POTUS.This is NOT OK!
To this end, we share ways that people in the Upstate of SC and beyond may participate in advocating for our democracy by anonymously serving as a Sneaky Activist.In other words, sneaky activists advocate in ways that do not cause them the anxiety of their community members finding out.Becoming a sneaky activist is like joining a team of spies: protesting in a behind-the-scenes manner. Think of yourself as a "double agent!"

99% of the plates they scan belong to people suspected of nothing.242 cameras are watching Upstate South Carolina right now. Every car that passes gets photographed. That data goes into a national network. And nobody voted on any of it.
Print the sneaky protest provided below. Leave them around town: grocery stores, restaurants, libraries, etc. But remember - Do not Litter or Break any Laws.
Flock Safety cameras are up across Upstate SC: Greenville, Spartanburg, Anderson, and surrounding areas.Greenville: Greenville PD runs 57 Flock cameras. The first batch went up in January 2021, paid for with federal civil asset forfeiture funds. No city ordinance. No council vote on oversight. There are still no rules about who sees the data, how long it's kept, or who checks how it's used.Spartanburg: City PD runs 15 cameras. The county's were deployed under Sheriff Chuck Wright… who pled guilty to federal criminal charges in October 2025 including wire fraud and corruption. A convicted criminal had unrestricted access to a system tracking where you drive. Neither the city nor the county has an oversight policy.From Greenville to Spartanburg to Anderson and beyond: Cameras first, questions never. No Upstate city or county has passed an oversight ordinance. Even when other cities tried, it didn't matter. Local governments can't control where the data goes once it's in Flock's network.The official count undersells it. When Greenville went looking for more cameras, its own RFP required the new ones to connect with HOA and neighborhood cameras too. The city's SafeWatch program asks residents to register their personal surveillance cameras with police. At least one Greenville HOA already runs its own license plate reader. The 57-camera figure is a floor, not a ceiling.
